Fundraiser for Guatemalan social-justice-based community, Seattle
Sun June 9, 12:30-3:30 pm, at The Olive and Grape Restaurant, 8516 Greenwood Avenue N, Seattle; Support the remarkable, Guatemalan ex-refugee, social-justice-based community of Nuevo Amanecer (New Dawn). Enjoy delicious Mediterranean cuisine. We’ll share solidarity updates from, Guatemala, along with a talk by Emily Willard. Ph.D. candidate in International Relations at UW- doing research on Nuevo Amanecer. Raffle and Guatemalan crafts sales in support of scholarships for the youth of Nuevo Amanecer.
