Tues Aug 6, and subsequent first Tuesdays, 11 am to 1 pm, at the downtown Seattle Federal Building, 915 – 2nd Ave, Seattle; First Tuesday War Protest. It is sponsored by Veterans For Peace, West Seattle Neighbors For Peace and Justice, EarthCare Not Warfare, and the Downtown Peace Vigil. From Hiroshima to Hope lantern floating commemoration, Seattle

Tues Aug 6, 6 pm - dark, at Northwest shore of Green Lake, just south of Seattle Public Theatre at the Bathhouse, 7312 W Green Lake Drive, Seattle; From Hiroshima to Hope, annual commemoration for the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and all victims of war and violence. Starts with gathering, lantern preparation, picnicking, and music; continues with program featuring music, dance, and speakers.
