WTO Protest 20th Anniversary – Morning Rally, Seattle
Sat Dec 7, 10 am, at Occidental Park, 117 S Washington St, Seattle; "WTO + 20: Fair Trade for a Sustainable World" 3 Events marking the 20th Anniversary of the Protests of the WTO meetings in Seattle. Rally Speakers include Tefere Gebre from the AFL-CIO, Lori Wallach from Public Citizen, Manuel Pérez Rocha from Institute for Policy Studies, Robin Everett from the Sierra Club, Mike Dolan from the Teamsters. Sat Dec 7, 3:30-6 pm, Workshops at Town Hall Seattle, 1119 Eighth Ave, Seattle; "WTO + 20: Fair Trade for a Sustainable World" 3 Events marking the 20th Anniversary of the Protests of the WTO meetings in Seattle. We plan a short welcome, then from 4 to 4:50, workshops on labor, environment, public health and immigration, then 5-5:50, workshops on indigenous sovereignty and extractive industries, food sovereignty, people-powered movements, data and e-commerce, and trade and militarism.
