    by Bruce Pruitt-Hamm The WWFOR has launched the Mike Yarrow Peace Fellowship (MYPF), a $1,000 grant for a year-long Fellowship that includes a week-long training intensive for high school and college students.  The Peace Fellows for 2015-16 have been selected.  The MYPF launched its second annual cycle in late June of 2016.  Applications for 2017 must be received by June 1, 2017.  There are 3 ways to get your application: 1) You can view and save the application form as a MYPF Application-PDF or 2) download it as a Word document with this link: MYPF Application-Word or 3)  use our contact form to request that we email you the application.     SEABECK CONFERENCE CENTER Seabeck is on beautiful Hood Canal, fifteen miles west of Bremerton, Washington.  Bedding and towels are provided to guests at the Conference Center.  Sleeping in RVs is not permitted.  Family style meals will be served from Thursday dinner through Sunday lunch.  Vegetarian meals will be served, with meat available at some meals.  If you have special dietary needs, please indicate this on the registration form.  Recreation opportunities include swimming, row boating on the lagoon, tennis, horseshoes, ping-pong, volleyball, basketball, hiking, music, and crafts.  Bring swimwear and comfortable shoes.  Be prepared for wet, dry, warm, or cool weather.     The Children’s Program The Children’s program for 3 to 10 year-olds will be led by Nora Walsh. Activities will be geared to the needs and interests of the individual children, and will develop a sense of community through play and mutual problem-solving. We celebrate and explore our beautiful surroundings with walks and outdoor games. We rely on adults and youth attending the conference to volunteer their time and talents to assist us. Beyond Seabeck, Nora teaches art with young people in a variety of settings.     The Bring Our Billion$ Home campaign is a grassroots effort to shift our tax dollars from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to our children, our sick, and our elderly. We need good jobs and we need to protect our environment. On February 20 (President’s Day), the campaign organized a “Die-In and Sing-In” in which people marched into the capitol rotunda, “died” to represent the “casualties of war on all fronts” – from those who are dying from lack of healthcare because of budget cuts to those who are dying abroad in Afghanistan.
