More than 700,000 Israeli settlers live in 279 illegal settlements across the occupied West Bank, including 14 in the occupied East Jerusalem. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli military and settler attacks have killed more than 320 Palestinians. Both the United States and the United Kingdom have announced visa bans on violent settlers due to this flare-up. HOPE-FUL RESPONSES TO BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CRISES, Zoom
3-WWFOR-chapter program meeting Sun Feb 18, 6:30-8 pm, Zoom (connection info below) HOPE-ful Activism in Tacoma. Aleesia Moralez and Cassie Hallstone will be speaking to us about the mental health outreach program that they are participating in Tacoma, the Holistic Outreach Promoting Engagement (HOPE). This program sends out HOPE teams that respond alongside traditional first responders (Fire/EMS/Law Enforcement) to behavioral health crisis calls. The professional staff provides short-term medical help and case management assistance. Everyone is welcome to join this program which is co-sponsored by the Tacoma, Olympia, and Seattle Fellowship of Reconciliation Chapters. HOPE stands for Holistic Outreach Promoting Engagement. Our program will support community members during behavioral health crisis scenarios, and the first responders, courts, jails, community providers, and hospitals supporting those same community members.
