- MEANINGFUL MOVIES PROJECT: free films and discussions
The Meaningful Movies Project supports local groups offering free film showings and discussions on justice issues. This project was initiated over 20 years ago by Wallingford (Seattle) Neighbors for Peace and Justice, a member of the Sound Nonviolent Opponents of War (SNOW) Coalition and now has dozens of groups in Western WA, a couple in Eastern WA, and a some further away. Meaningful Movies continues its mission showing socially conscious movies followed by discussions. Since the pandemic there have been many online and hybrid showings, as well as in-person events.
