WhereWear - Western Washington Fellowship of Reconciliation

Founded by Vy Le, WhereWear (WW) originally started as Vy’s Mike Yarrow Peace Fellowship project. Vy proposed making it a program of the Western Washington Fellowship of Reconciliation (WWFOR) in the Fall of 2024. WWFOR approved and provided funding and fiscal sponsorship. WhereWear was built with the support of close family, friends, and several key mentors, including those from the Washington Leadership Board, Changemakers in Computing at the University of Washington, as well as the Western Washington Fellowship of Reconciliation. Despite the valuable guidance from these advisors, WhereWear remains entirely youth-led.

Starting with donations to 8 shelters in the Pacific Northwest in November of 2024, WW expanded its donations to 43 shelters along the West Coast by February of 2025. They have now added 200 shelters to their “Cycle” donation coordination database and have donated more than 11,000 items and involved over 60 volunteers in less than a year.
