FILM “WHERE OLIVE TREES WEEP” ON PALESTINE Weds July 31, 6:30 pm film, at Evergreen College, Sem 2 B1105, 2700 Evergreen Parkway NW, Olympia, WA The Center for Community Based Learning and Action and The Rachel Corrie Foundation present a film on Palestine, “Where Olive Trees Weep.” Co-sponsored by Palestine Action of South Sound. Jewish Voice for Peace Olympia and The Evergreen State College Divest This searing new film follows Palestinian journalist and therapist Ashira Darwish, grassroots activist Ahed Tamimi, Israeli journalist Amira Hass, and Dr. Gabor Maté to explore themes of loss, trauma, and the quest for justice and collective liberation. Discussion will follow. Free and open to the public. All ages welcome, although viewer discretion is advised. Children activities provided.
