ELECTION DEFENSE SCENARIOS: AN INTERACTIVE ONLINE WORKSHOP TO GET READY, Zoom

Sunday, October 4, 2026 • 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM Pacific Register for the Workshop- Free The Western Washington Fellowship of Reconciliation (WWFOR) invites you to join an interactive online workshop examining a range of scenarios that could disrupt, undermine, or challenge the electoral process before, during, or after Election Day. Based on the work of Freedom Trainers and Daniel Hunter’s book, Election Defense Scenarios, this workshop will help participants think critically about potential threats to democratic processes and explore constructive, nonviolent responses that individuals and communities can undertake. What Will Happen? Participants will: Review a wide range of election-related scenarios and global examples of nonviolent tactics successfully used elsewhere to defend democracy aginst that type of attack. Vote on the possible scenario each feels is most important Join breakout discussions with others who share their interests and concerns. Exchange ideas, resources, and strategies. Explore practical, nonviolent responses to possible challenges, including those in Hunter’s book . Topics for Discussion Before Election Day Voter roll purges New voter ID requirements Mail-in ballot deadline changes Ballot drop box sabotage Election fraud investigations Election Day Voting location confusion Mass voter challenges Election-day disinformation Armed militias at polling places Federal agents at polling places After Election Day Recounts and ballot curing Efforts to overturn vote counting Refusal to certify election results Ballot seizures Congressional refusal to seat certified winners Participants are also encouraged to share additional scenarios, concerns, and educational resources relevant to these issues. Why Attend? Many people are concerned about threats to democratic institutions but are uncertain how best to respond. This workshop provides an opportunity to learn from others, strengthen our collective understanding, and consider constructive actions that support a fair and transparent electoral process. Whether you are an experienced activist, a concerned voter, or simply interested in understanding the challenges that could arise during the election cycle, your participation is welcome.
