CONVERSATION WITH THREE ISRAELI CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS/REFUSERS, Zoom

Join Fellowship of Reconciliation-USA and Red Letter Christians for a conversation with Israeli Refusers where you’ll hear their stories and the consequences of their refusal to participate in violence. They will invite us to ask the question, “What does courage look like for me?” .

We’ll hear from Itamar Greenberg who spent 197 days in prison for refusal to serve in the IDF, Sofia Orr who spent 85 days in prison for refusal to serve, and we’ll hear from an Israeli who will be refusing in October. We’ll also hear from American Conscientious Objector, Diana Oestreich, Iraq war veteran + Peacemaker – and we’ll hear about the history of conscientious objection through both a Christian and Jewish lens from RLC’s Shane Claiborne, and FOR’s Ariel Gold.
