Fellowship of Reconciliation’s monthly Conversation Series “Gathering Voices.”  FOR-USA’s executive director, Ariel Gold, hosts other activists.

This month’s guest speaker:  FOR National Council member Leila Zand, Ph.D. has worked extensively with international communities and in academia and higher ed to promote peace and justice in the United States and abroad. Her working experience has been to advance peace and promote dialogue to achieve nonviolent conflict resolution in international disputes, as well as educating the next generations within academia and higher education settings to provide a holistic understanding of the Middle East and its politics, particularly her native Iran. Her research builds on over a decade of research and practice focusing on Track II Diplomacy within the international contexts including Iran-U.S. relations and the Israel-Palestine conflict. She has just returned from her home country, Iran, where she adopted a daughter who is a refugee from Afghanistan.
