Earth’s Greatest Enemy is a film from Abby Martin showing that the US military-industrial complex is the biggest institutional user of fossil fuels and has been fighting for years to secure cheap oil for the US economy. The film brings together two issues that threaten our very existence: militarism and destruction of our natural environment. Here is the official trailer. My wife and I went to a showing in Mt. Vernon, WA. It was well attended. It was a powerful experience. The people who organized the showing were Mt. Vernon anti-war activists. They paid $400 to rent the film. The film makers spent $100,000 to make it and have been denied opportunities to distribute the film by the mainstream distributor companies, so must do it themselves.
