The View from MAGA

A few months ago, I started receiving messages from email@buildingourmovement.com.  As many people reading this may not have the privilege of being on the email list, I thought I would give those deprived people  a taste of what they are missing.

At first, most of the emails urged me to submit my “Voter Verification.”  Often, they sounded desperate!  “We’ve reached out multiple times.” [true] “Top Republicans have personally asked for your response. And yet, we’ve been met with silence.” [also true]

Then there were threats, “If you don’t act NOW, we may have to remove you from our Republican voter database. That means you won’t be counted in critical polling, and the Democrats will gain the upper hand.

“You have 25 MINUTES to verify your voter profile before this link EXPIRES. ACT NOW.”

After about 5 such messages, I would receive a message from Kellyanne Conway saying. “I read your Voter Verification results and I must say that I’m impressed with your answers. You are the kind of American we want on our side …” After this I would get another five or so messages again urging me to submit my “Voter Verification.”  And then my sweet email correspondent Kellyanne would again praise me for my Voter Verification answers.  And so on.

 And not just Kellyanne, I have also gotten this heartwarming message from Speaker of the House of Representatives] Mike Johnson, “I’m only asking because you are someone I truly value.”  Awww!

 I just got one straight from the Vice President which says, “Patriot, Republican leadership spoke VERY highly of you.  That’s why I’m personally recruiting you to join my Vice Presidential Cabinet!”  Wow!  That’s all I can say.

 A message from “Robert [no last name given] ,State Republican Membership Services,” has this dire warning, “Don’t let the Radical Left win by default.”

 From the same email address, I get appeals for donations to distribute bibles and to buy various Christian religious-themed merchandise.  Also, there were messages from candidates;  here’s an excerpt, “the future of Virginia and our nation hangs in the balance! … I’m running to stop the liberal establishment from destroying our country.”

There was a message about Pres. Trump federalizing the DC police saying in part, “The SPINELESS Democrats are ATTACKING Trump right now because they WANT to CONTROL D.C. with CRIME, rioting, and VIOLENCE.”  [emphasis exactly as received] Scary, huh?

 There’s the occasional message starting “Our team has been combing over our internal voter database, and we CAN’T BELIEVE what we just came across… Your file is marked as ‘LOYAL DEMOCRAT VOTER.’ ”  I don’t know how they would get this information, if it were true, since we have a secret ballot and Washington state doesn’t include party choice in voter registrations.

And then this:  “We’re on our hands and knees BEGGING YOU to fix this before it’s too late and your party affiliation becomes permanent.”  They don’t explain how this becomes permanent.  Does a big “D” scar form on my forehead?  Another scary thought.

Lately, there have been numerous emails dangling the proposed $5,000 DOGE checks we may get.  “President Trump is considering new stimulus checks — not for illegals, not for the elites — but for MAGA patriots like YOU.”  I wonder how they are going to decide which of us is among the “elites” and who is a “MAGA patriot” but for anyone vacillating between these categories, maybe $5,000 would be enough to help make up their mind.

I hope this taste of email@buildingourmovement.com has been helpful.  After all, it could mean $5,000.
