Gathering Voices is a live, monthly Zoom conversation series in which FOR-USA engages with activists and faith and thought leaders..  FOR-USA’s Executive Director Ariel Gold will host 2023-2034 Wink Fellow Rabbi May Ye

Rabbi May Ye (she/her) is a Chinese American Jew; a weaver of tradition and fashioner of new liturgy and ritual, she seeks to center and highlight the experiences of those who have been disenfranchised and marginalized from Judaism and Jewish spaces. A passionate activist, she explores how to decouple Judaism from Zionism and is an ardent supporter of Palestinian liberation.

Since October 7, 2023, Rabbi May, has been working tirelessly, often while in handcuffs, with Jewish Voice for Peace and Rabbis for Ceasefire to stop the bloodshed taking place in Gaza and achieve liberation for the Palestinian people. We will discuss with her how this work is aligned with and in the tradition of Christian theologian Walter Wink.
