Join our gathering to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons going into effect:  The Olympia Coalition to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (OCANW) is one of many organizations worldwide celebrating the 3rd anniversary of when the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons went into effect on Jan. 22, 2021.  The global organization that promoted the Treaty is the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, www.icanw.org .  They won the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize.  See information about the treaty at ICAN’s website and at the “Nuclear Weapons” part of Glen Anderson’s blog, www.parallaxperspectives.org

Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.  The TPNW bans a wide range of activities, such as using, possessing, developing, testing, and transferring nuclear weapons, making them illegal under international law as of January 22, 2021.
